We introduce you
Pick one, the name is revealed, and they contact you to agree terms.
Where the debtor is based matters more than where you are: it decides which agencies genuinely cover the case, and in some parts of the UK, which legal system applies. Tell us the debt and the debtor’s location, and we’ll show you vetted agencies that actually take London cases - compared blind on fees, specialisms and verified track record.
Every agency on the panel is vetted before it can appear, no one can pay for ranking, and names stay hidden until you choose - so the comparison is on merit. It’s free for creditors: the agency you choose pays us for the introduction, never you.
Not sure what you’re owed with interest? The free late-payment calculator adds statutory interest and compensation to overdue commercial invoices and generates a ready-to-send letter before action.
How to choose an agency in London
- Fee model - no-win-no-fee, fixed fee, or commission - and what each means for your recovery
- Sector fit: consumer debt, commercial debt, or rent arrears specialists
- Verified track record and independent ratings, not marketing claims
- Whether they handle escalation - legal action and High Court enforcement - if the first approach is ignored
How agencies charge in London
Most use one of these, or a blend. The model matters more than the headline rate, because it decides what happens if the debt proves hard to collect.
- No win, no fee
- A share of what is recovered, nothing if nothing comes back.
- Commission
- A share of the recovery, sometimes with a small set-up charge.
- Fixed fee
- A set price per case or per letter, whatever the outcome.
- Blended
- A smaller share plus a modest fixed element.

Common questions about debt collection in London
Do I need a local debt collection agency in London?
Not necessarily local - but they must genuinely cover the debtor’s location. Recovery runs on phone, letter, negotiation and the courts, so coverage and specialism beat postcode proximity. We only show agencies whose stated coverage includes your debtor’s region.
Which court would handle a claim against a debtor in London?
Money claims are issued centrally rather than at a local court. If the debtor defends, the case is transferred to a county court hearing centre - for an individual debtor, the one covering their home address, so a claim against someone in London is normally heard local to them, not to you. Issue fees are banded by claim value on a published court scale. Most undisputed debts are settled by a pre-court agency letter long before any of this applies.
Does the debtor have to be in London for an agency to act?
Coverage follows the debtor, not you. An agency has to state that it covers where your debtor is, which is what we filter on, so a creditor anywhere in the UK can instruct an agency that works London cases. Recovery runs on letters, calls, negotiation and the courts, so proximity to your own office changes nothing.
What evidence do I need before instructing an agency in London?
The invoice, contract, tenancy agreement or judgment, a statement of what remains unpaid, and the correspondence showing you chased. A file that proves what was agreed, what was delivered and what is outstanding is quicker to price and more likely to be accepted on a no-collection-no-fee basis.
Debt collection in other UK regions
Coverage follows the debtor. If yours is based elsewhere, start from their region instead.
